Akos and Janet
Over a tense dinner, estranged sisters Akos and Janet have difficult conversations about their childhoods, sexualities, and sisterhood.
A short film directed and written by Boafoa Offei-Darko, supported in part by the Maryland Film Office. Akos and Janet earned official selection at four film festivals including the Oscar-qualifying Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival, Baltimore International Black Film Festival, Richmond International Film Festival, and DC Black Film Festival, all in 2024.
